Five first place selections confirm line’s reputation for offering unrivaled vacation experiences across its fleet of intimately luxurious ships

MIAMI, Fla. (Feb. 10, 2016) – Oceania Cruises earned five first-place awards in the 2016 Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Award, including its fifth consecutive win for offering the finest cuisine at sea. The Cruisers’ Choice Awards name the best cruise ships of the year in a variety of categories, and each winning selection is based entirely on consumer reviews posted to the Cruise Critic website.

The market leader in the upper-premium cruise segment, Oceania Cruises features a fleet of intimately luxurious ships offering the finest cuisine at sea, elegant accommodations, impeccable service and destination-driven itineraries – and its five 2016 Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Awards reaffirm that glowing reputation:

  • Best Dining (Mid-Size Category): Marina – the 5th consecutive year an Oceania Cruises ship has won
  • Best Cabins (Mid-Size Category): Riviera – the 3rd consecutive year Riviera has won
  • Best Public Rooms (Mid-Size Category): Riviera – the 3rd consecutive year Riviera has won and the 5th consecutive year an Oceania Cruises ship has won
  • Best for Fitness & Recreation (Mid-Size Category): Riviera
  • Best for Fitness & Recreation (Small Ship Category): Nautica

“The Cruisers’ Choice Awards serve as a true stamp of approval from cruisers,” said Carolyn Spencer Brown, editor-in-chief of Cruise Critic. “With hundreds of ships reviewed each year by thousands of cruisers, the winners of these awards stand as the absolute best of the best.”

According to James Rodriguez, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Oceania Cruises, the Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Awards are special because they reflect the opinions of actual guests. “These awards provide undisputable evidence that our ships and crewmembers are delivering our brand promise to our guests on each and every voyage.”

The Cruise Critic Cruisers' Choice Awards are awarded in three ship classes, based on passenger capacity (Large: 2,000+ passengers; Mid-Size: 1,200 to 1,999 passengers; Small: 1,199 or fewer passengers) and are calculated using the ratings submitted with each Cruise Critic member review.
