New Small-Batch Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream On Board

Much like Oceania Cruises, our team at Humphry Slocombe takes an unapologetic approach to desserts – bold, adventurous, innovative and undeniably delicious. Our San Francisco-based ice cream shop infuses its rebellious personality into its flavors, concocting mouthwatering results like roasted banana ice cream with bacon peanut brittle, aptly named Elvis (The Fat Years), and Sweet Summer Corn, consisting of fresh shucked corn ice cream. Humphry Slocombe was recently named one of “San Francisco’s Most Delicious Instagram Accounts” by 7X7 Magazine, among other kudos in Bon Appetit, Food Network, and more.

Constantly seeking the next best dessert experiences to offer to its guests, Oceania Cruises has embarked on an exciting partnership with all of us at Humphry Slocombe, expanding The Finest Cuisine at Sea to include a selection of our artisanal ice cream flavors, one of which is a delectable custom flavor collaboration inspired by the sea.

To celebrate this new partnership, our founders – chef Jake Godby and food and beverage manager Sean Vahey – have been working their magic with Oceania Cruises’ culinary team to develop a tempting signature flavor: Regatta Royale. This unique ice cream dives deep into your taste buds with flavors of bittersweet, dark, fruity chocolate from Berkeley-based TCHO Chocolate, brought to life by hints of orange zest and smoked sea salt.

The Oceania Cruises team will be scooping up Regatta Royale on all six ships alongside 13 fan-favorite Humphry Slocombe ice cream flavors including:

  • Secret Breakfast | Our best-selling flavor – bourbon ice cream with cornflake cookies
  • Elvis (the Fat Years) | Roasted banana ice cream with bacon peanut brittle
  • Toast & Jam | Brown-butter ice cream with pieces of brioche and jam swirl
  • After School Special | Vanilla ice cream with chocolate-covered potato chips and caramel swirl
  • Harvey Milk & Honey Graham | Made with raw blackberry honey from the Pacifica Northwest and house-made graham crackers
  • Roasted White Chocolate with Lavender | Roasted white chocolate ice cream infused with lavender
  • Meyer Lemon Pound Cake | Meyer lemon ice cream with pound cake
  • Peanut Butter Fudge Ripple | Natural peanut butter ice cream with fudge swirl
  • Vietnamese Coffee | Coffee, condensed milk, and roasted chicory
  • Sweet Summer Corn | Fresh shucked corn ice cream
  • Black Sesame | Roasted black sesame ice cream
  • White Miso Apple | Miso apple ice cream
  • Fernet Fudge | Dark fernet chocolate ice cream with fernet fudge swirl

The ice cream will be made from scratch on board daily, using only the finest premium artisanal ingredients for the most tantalizing dessert experience.


You’ll be able to try these enticingly unusual Humphry Slocombe ice cream flavors on Marina and Riviera beginning in February and on the rest of the ships by mid-May. If you can’t wait to get your first taste of Regatta Royale, stop by any of our four shops in the Bay Area (Mission District, Ferry Building, Berkeley and Oakland) to try it during the entire month of January.
